New Year New Shop!!
After the success of our Pop up shop at The Black Gate after last years festival we have now secured premises and you can now find us just along from the Post Office in Kilcrohane Village. We will be here all through the summer months.
As you'll see we have a great selection of hand made yarn & Fibre gifts as well as supplies from across Ireland. Our Main objective is to support the Irish Yarn & Fibre crafters as well as providing the service of short classes for everyone from beginner to intermediate. We also have team members who have been through Barnardos and are registered to teach children.
As always working hard behind the scenes to get thing in order are our team of volunteers giving up their free time to run shifts, find new producers & organise the 2nd Sheep's Head Yarn Festival
If you would like to join us and become a member please get in touch at [email protected]

Welcome to Sheep's Head Yarns
With the continuing success of the First Sheep's Head Yarn Festival the organisers looked to see how this great idea could be expanded in bringing the yarn to the masses
Back in 2014, when the idea was brought to surface, it was never thought the workshops would be so popular
Originally the plan included 6-8 small workshops over one or 2 days, which would be more than enough to start with the hope that a few more would pop up, help was sought & as always not much came but once the word got out more & more people offered their services & skills as well as business premises for workshops & next thing you know 20 workshops were planned at various locations along the Sheep's Head Peninsula.
As many of the workshops seemed extremely popular during the festival and were run more than once, but many times it was said 'We'd love to come & do a workshop but we can't make that weekend' the organisers got their thinking caps on...
And Sheep's Head Yarn was born!!
Residing in The Black Gate, Kilcrohane for July & August 2015 Sheep's Head Yarns offer many things:
We look forward to hearing from you
